Manchester City are one of the teams interested in signing Rapid Vienna striker Yusuf Demir, according to Sporx.

The forward is only 15 years of age but he lit up the Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup earlier this year when he played for Rapid’s Under 18 team.

Demir was named the player of the tournament as his side lost 3-2 in the final against Liverpool back in January.

His performances were noticed by a number of scouts with City, Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich all believed to be keen to snap up the youngster.

Demir is said to be ready to stay at Vienna, but much will depend on what professional contract he is offered by his current club, following the appointment of a new sporting director Zoran Barisic.

The striker has scored five goals in nine appearances for Austria’s Under 17 side, but he was not selected to play in the Euro Under 17 Championships earlier this month.
