Manchester City are among a host of top European clubs keeping tabs on PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mohammed Ihattaren, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website reports that Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Milan are also pursuing the Netherlands Under 19 international.

Despite only being due to turn 17 later this month, PSV manager Mark van Bommel clearly feels that the player is already talented enough to play at senior level.

Ihattaren has just broken into the first team, having made two substitute appearances for the Dutch club in their last two league games.

The 16-year-old made his senior debut against FC Groningen at the end of last month and made his second appearance in the 5-0 win over Fortuna Sittard on Sunday.

Ihattaren generally plays as number 10, but he can also play in a deeper role or out wide. He has been prolific in front of goal at Under 19 level for PSV, having scored six goals in 17 appearances.
