Manchester City could offer Joao Cancelo in a part-exchange deal for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Citizens only signed the Portuguese fullback from Juventus last summer, but he has started just eight Premier League games since he moved to the Etihad.
Cancelo has actually played for Inter before, having spent a season on loan with the Serie A side in the 2017/18 campaign. Whether the Nerazzurri would be keen to have him back, it remains to be seen.
City are reportedly determined to sign a new centre-back in the summer, and it appears Skriniar’s name is right at the top of the list.
If they can bring in the Slovakian international while offloading a player who is deemed surplus to requirements, it could well be a win-win scenario for the Manchester club.
Inter are likely to fight tooth and nail to keep Skriniar, though, who has been a key player for the Italian club over the past three seasons.
