City ‘Willing’ To Sell One Player If Champions League Ban Stays In Place

Manchester City are “willing” to sell Sergio Aguero if they are unable to overturn their Champions League ban, according to the Sun.

It is thought that the Argentine is not particularly interested in leaving the Etihad Stadium but the Citizens will give him the option to go due to the loyalty he has shown the club over the years.

Aguero may not be able to play in the Champions League again if the two-year ban stays in place, and City would be understanding if the 31-year-old wanted to move on so he could continue playing at the highest level.

However, the Manchester club are said to be reluctant to let any other players leave as they look to keep the bulk of Pep Guardiola’s squad together.

City may, though, be able to suspend the ban and have it then overturned in the Court of Arbitration for Sport so the situation with Aguero may not come to a head.
