City’s Scouts Have Been Sending Back Glowing Reports On 20 Year Old Italian Star

Manchester City have been closely watching the performances of Monza midfielder Nicolo Rovella this season, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 20-year-old joined the newly promoted Serie A club on a season-long loan from Juventus in the summer and he has been a key player as his side sit 14th after fifteen matches.

Scouts have been sending back positive reports about Rovella to City boss Pep Guardiola. The Italian is a holding midfield player, capable of dictating tempo from a deep-lying position.

He does sound like the perfect player for Guardiola, having the technical ability and passing range to fit into the Spaniard’s style of play.

Whether City would actually have a chance of securing Rovella’s signature, though, it is debatable. His parent club Juve intend to reintegrate him into their first team next campaign and, with a contract that expires in 2026, they will feel confident about retaining his services.
