It was a pretty eventful window for Arsenal who targeted moves for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk, but ultimately ended up with Jorginho and Leandro Trossard, as they looked to strengthen their squad for the title race.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth splashed the cash under new owner Bill Foley, spending £55m in total with ambitions of keeping the Cherries in the Premier League for another season.

Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford had quieter windows in comparison with the Villans spending £18m on Colombian starlet Jhon Duran, who was brought in from MLS side Chicago Fire.
