David Ornstein Reveals New Transfer Twist As City Target Arsenal Starlet Along With 2 Other PL Clubs

Arsenal have made a last-ditch attempt to keep Manchester City target Ethan Nwaneri, according to The Athletic reporter David Ornstein.

The journalist claims the Gunners have “not given up” on keeping the teenager, who can leave the Emirates for minimal compensation at the end of the season. It is believed that “new dialogue has recently taken place” as his current club try desperately to stop him from leaving.

However, there is no indication that there has been a breakthrough in talks, which suggests City still stand a good chance of securing Nwaneri’s services this summer.

The Premier League champions are known to be keeping tabs on the 16-year-old’s situation, along with Manchester United and Chelsea, so the player will have a big decision to make in the coming weeks.

Nwaneri Is A Highly Related Young Player

The midfielder became the youngest debutant in Premier League history, at 15 years and 181 days, when he came on as a substitute in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Brentford back in September.

Nwaneri has been in the headlines once again over the past few days as well, scoring the winning goal for England against Croatia in the group stages of the European Under-17 Championships last Thursday.
