De Bruyne Among Five Premier League Stars Named On FIFA Men’s Player Of The Year Shortlist

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been nominated for the Best Men’s Player at the FIFA Football Awards.

There are four other Premier League players on the shortlist, all coming from Liverpool, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk and Thiago Alcantara also among the nominees. No players from Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal or any other English team have been given a mention.

The remaining six players up for the award are Paris Saint-Germain pair Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, Juventus’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski and Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos.


You can nominate De Bruyne yourself for the prize by signing up and voting right here. The result of the vote will be announced at the award ceremony which is due to take place in Zurich on December 17th. City supporters will be hoping that the current PFA Player of the Year will come out on top.
