Manchester City are weighing up a potential move for Southampton striker Danny Ings in the summer, according to reports in the English media.
The Citizens are believed to be considering signing a new forward at the end of the season, but supporters on Twitter don’t think the former Liverpool player is the right solution:

Oh, why don't we let our injury prone striker go on free so that we can buy another injury prone striker….utter bs

Ings would be a very odd choice, to say the least. Although he is an excellent finisher, his fitness record is almost as bad as Sergio Aguero‘s and he would certainly not be a long term replacement for the Argentine.
The striker turns 29 in July, and there are definitely younger forward options on the market, including Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Recent reports suggest that City are favourites to sign the Norwegian, ahead of the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United. Fans would undoubtedly prefer the club to sign the 20-year-old above the likes of Ings
