Everton Set To Make £16m Offer For Out Of Favour City Midfielder

Everton are preparing a £16m bid for Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, according to reports in the UK.

The Toffees are keen to strengthen in central midfield and see the England international as a good option.

Delph is unlikely to get much game time in any position under manager Pep Guardiola next season.

Newest signing Rodri has now been added to the club’s midfield, alongside Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan.

At left-back, where Delph has been utilised more often under Guardiola, the likelihood of game time is now even bleaker.

City have re-signed Angelino from PSV Eindhoven this summer, and along with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Benjamin Mendy, it means there are a wealth of options on the left-hand side.

Considering Delph’s injury issues too, the Citizens may well see Everton’s reported offer as an attractive one with the 29-year-old having entered the final year of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
