Fabrizio Romano Reveals Guardiola Has ‘Great Interest’ In Inter Milan Star

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has a “great interest” in Inter Milan defender Milan Skiniar, according to Calciomercato reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The reliable journalist, who also works for the Guardian, claims that City would be prepared to use Joao Cancelo in a part-exchange deal for the Slovakian international.

However, Inter boss Antonio Conte is not convinced by Cancelo’s defensive abilities and he doesn’t think the Portuguese international would be a fair exchange for Skriniar.

The Citizens are said to be looking for a new centre-back, with John Stones now also being tipped to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer.

It appears that Skriniar is City’s first choice at the moment, but Inter’s stance will need to soften in order for a move to England to get the green light.

The Inter star has been part of the joint second-best defence in Serie A this season, conceding 24 goals in 25 games.
