‘Found Our Silva Replacement’ ‘My Goalkeeper’ City Fans React As Ederson Plays In Midfield (And Scores Twice) In Charity Game

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has been rightly praised for his footballing ability with many believing he could be a capable outfield player.

He put that view to the test during a recent charity game in Brazil, where he played alongside teammate Gabriel Jesus and a few celebrities.

Ederson did not do too badly, scoring twice in a 5-4 win, and fans on Twitter have been waxing lyrical about the keeper’s ability:

The Brazilian is absolutely crucial to how manager Pep Guardiola wants to play football. His skill and composure on the ball allow for the side to play confidently out from the back.

The £35m that City paid Benfica for Ederson two years ago is looking like an absolute bargain now, considering the money some other clubs have spent on keepers.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool broke the world record for their shot-stoppers last summer but I doubt there are any City fans out there who would swap their current number one.
