Gary Neville Delivers His Title Verdict After City Close Gap On Arsenal

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes Manchester City will narrowly beat Arsenal to the title after the Gunners dropped points against Liverpool at the weekend.

Pep Guardiola’s side are now six adrift of their rivals, with a game in hand, and Neville believes they will end the season top of the table:

“I have thought all the way through that Man City would just edge it. I haven’t changed my opinion after today [after the Liverpool game] or even altered it slightly because I still think there will be points dropped from each side, but I think Arsenal will drop more points.”

Arsenal’s draw at Anfield on Sunday means things are very much back in City’s hands. With a better goal difference, they will win the title if they secure victory in their final nine fixtures.

That is easier said than done but Guardiola’s team have had to go on longer winning streaks to secure the Premier League title before in previous campaigns.

There are certainly some difficult hurdles to overcome along the way, none more so than facing the Gunners at the Etihad later this month, but they are in a much better position than they were heading into the weekend.
