Manchester City had scouts in attendance to see Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga play at the weekend, according to reports in the English media.
Arsenal and Tottenham also had representatives watching on as the 16-year-old put in a stunning display to help his side beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the league on Sunday.
Supporters on Twitter were pretty sceptical about City’s interest in Camavinga:
City need to fight yes or yes to get this great player!!!!?

Although City may not be actively pursuing the teenager, it’s likely that they will be keeping close tabs on the player following his impressive performances at senior level.
So far, Camavinga has made just ten appearances for Rennes’ first team, having made his debut against Angers in a 3-3 draw back in April.
He got his first start in the 2-2 draw versus Monaco at the start of May and has continued to establish himself at the beginning of this season.
Camavinga has played the full 90 minutes in all three of Rennes’ matches so far this campaign, getting his first assist by providing the cross for Romain Del Castillo’s winning goal against PSG at the weekend.
