Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has no intention of selling striker Gabriel Jesus this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Brazilian international has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus in recent months, but it appears that the Citizens will rebuff any approaches for the forward.
Supporters on Twitter are very happy to hear that Jesus is likely to stay at the Etihad:
Good to hear this. He showed us just how good he is in the Madrid match

We buy the lad to, eventually, take over from Sergio, and just as Sergio is coming to the end of his playing career at City.. … we sell Gabriel?

The 23-year-old has always been seen as Sergio Aguero’s long term successor, and while there have been doubts about the Brazilian’s form this campaign, it appears Guardiola is still fully convinced he is the future.
It must be said, Jesus’s performances have been patchy in recent months, but his 18 goals and nine assists in 39 appearances demonstrates the level of goalscoring required to play for a club of City’s stature.
Replacing Aguero will be a daunting task for any forward, but the Brazilian is the right age and quality to make the position his own.
