Graeme Souness Makes Bold Title Prediction After City Fall Seven Points Behind Arsenal

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness remains confident that Manchester City will pip Arsenal to the Premier League title this season.

Pep Guardiola’s team are now seven points behind the Gunners in the table after drawing at home against Everton at the weekend but, despite the setback, Souness says he is backing the Citizens to recover the gap:

“I still believe that City will come good. I think they will go on a run and end up as being the champions, as good as Arsenal have been.”

It was a disappointing result on Saturday, but Souness is right to say that City are well capable of going on a winning streak that can put serious pressure on Arsenal.

The meeting at the Emirates between the two teams next month is a very good opportunity to change the momentum in the title race too, but Guardiola’s side have six league fixtures before then.

With Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham coming up, the focus must be on getting through those tough matches unscathed, before then facing Wolves, another game against Spurs, and then Aston Villa.
