Guardiola Contacts £40m Rated Sane Replacement Who Is ‘Very Interested’ In Moving To City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has had a conversation with Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey about moving to the Etihad Stadium, according to Footmercato.net.

The French website claims the Spaniard is keen on the player replacing Leroy Sane after it was confirmed that the 24-year-old will not be signing a new contract with the Citizens.

Bailey is said to be “very interested” in a switch to City with Footmercato claiming that the Jamaican is keen to work under Guardiola.

This follows on from a report last month which suggested that the Manchester club were looking to sign the winger for £40m.

There are, though, other major suitors for Bailey, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal having reportedly sent scouts to see the winger in action over recent seasons.

With Sane’s departure now a foregone conclusion, it appears City have already singled out their number one target to replace the German.
