Bayern Munich full-back David Alaba is not interested in moving to Manchester City, Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports in Germany.
The 27-year-old has less than one year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena but despite the interest from the three clubs, he has set his sights on playing in Spain despite the fact neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona can afford to sign him.
Fans on Twitter are a bit perplexed by Alaba’s stance:
He wants a club that can't afford him?

He is senseless??— Audacious❤? (@Jeidoney2) July 14, 2020
But Bayern wants to sell him (they will not give him as much money as he wants). If Real and Barca do not come with an offer and I am pretty sure they won’t, he is coming to City

Wouldn’t want him. Telles would do fine with Mendy as competitor.

It could be the case that Alaba will wait for another year and move to La Liga on a free transfer next summer, and City may have already moved on to other targets anyway.
The left-back position is an area that manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen on strengthening with Leicester’s Ben Chilwell likely to be the main alternative to Alaba. However, the England international’s price tag is likely to be pretty steep.
