‘He Is Finished Anyway’ ‘So It’s Kane Then’ City Fans React As Deal For Bundesliga Goal Machine Is Ruled Out

Bayern Munich have told the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea that they won’t be selling Robert Lewandowski this summer, according to reports in the German and French media.

Both clubs have been tipped to make moves for the Polish international in recent days but despite the striker refusing to sign a new contract, Bayern have decided they will let him leave for €50m (£43m) next year.

City have been linked with numerous forwards this summer, and pretty much all of the rumours have been refuted. It has left some supporters on Twitter wondering whether they will sign a replacement for Sergio Aguero:

It is understandable that fans are worried the Premier League champions may opt against strengthening their forward line. City’s options are narrowing but they are not exhausted.

Pep Guardiola’s side could find the funds to match Tottenham’s asking price for Harry Kane, or they may go with a much cheaper option such as Benfica’s Darwin Nunez or Southampton’s Danny Ings.
