Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne was in imperious form as the Citizens thrashed Watford 8-0 at the Etihad yesterday afternoon.
The Belgian laid one on a plate for David Silva’s opening goal with a peach of a cross just 60 seconds into the match. He then provided the assist for Bernardo Silva’s hat-trick before firing in a stunning effort to seal a fantastic win.
Fans on Twitter are running out of superlatives for De Bruyne with many simply rating him as the best midfielder in the world:
He's unplayable at the minute. Still think Messi and Ronaldo are dining out on previous form this season.

Based on his stats for this season, it’s hard to argue otherwise. The 28-year-old now has two goals and eight assists in just eight appearances this campaign.
The only competitive game where De Bruyne has failed to create or score a goal was when he was named on the bench in the 3-2 defeat to Norwich.
With the form that he is currently in, manager Pep Guardiola will find it hard to keep him out of the starting eleven.
