Manchester City midfielder Rodri made a surprise return to first-team training yesterday and the club are giving the Spaniard every chance to be fit to face Liverpool according to the Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan.
The 23-year-old was expected to be out until after the international break with a hamstring problem but the Spanish international appears to be winning the race to feature tomorrow. Some fans are delighted by the latest development:

However, other supporters are more cautious, and they don’t want to play Rodri if there is a risk of him getting injured again:
Pls don't rush him 🙁

He should sit this one out.
Fernandinho should play there.

I’m not sure if you even want to risk it. If he gets hurt again then he’ll be out even longer.

don't need to rush him, draw could make no harm to us

It’s a tricky situation for manager Pep Guardiola. There is concern that Ilkay Gundogan won’t provide the necessary protection in the centre of the pitch, and with Fernandinho likely to play at centre-half, having Rodri back would give them a big boost.
Even so, with City’s current injury problems, risking a recurrence of the hamstring issue may not be wise, especially with a number of important games over the coming weeks.
