Manchester City captain Fernandinho is expected to miss the next four to six weeks after picking up a leg injury in the closing stages of the 3-1 win over Porto on Wednesday night.
The Brazilian veteran only came on as a substitute with five minutes to go in the game but he had to be replaced himself in injury time by John Stones. Supporters on Twitter are growing frustrated with the number of players currently on the treatment table:

I guess he’s missed a few games here and there over the last two seasons, but injuries have been few and far between for Ferna so this is especially unfortunate. Definitely looked like one that will be 1-2 months in length.

Nathan Ake, Gabriel Jesus and Benjamin Mendy are all still out of action, but there is some good news on the injury front with both Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte now both back out on the training pitch.
It’s unlikely that either player will be available for tomorrow’s game against West Ham but they could be back in contention to feature in the games against Marseille and Sheffield United next week.
