Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez could be allowed to leave the Etihad Stadium in the summer, according to Calciomercato.com.
The Italian website claims that Paris Saint-Germain would be the 29-year-old’s main suitors. However, after a good season with the Citizens, fans on Twitter are divided on whether selling the Algerian international would be a good idea:
I really hope this isn’t true. Been great for us

Sell him and Bring Sancho back!

If this is even close to being true, Man City allowing Sane and Mahrez to leave in one summer tells me they’re planning on making a big move for Jadon Sancho this summer.

This would be Citys most stupidest move ever for me

That means sane would be staying. He is a good servant, no complain and always do his best on the pitch. Wish him nothing but best of luck

That's if they will give us Neymar or Mbappe and we will add money

Mahrez has certainly improved in his second season with City, having scored nine goals and provided 14 assists in 37 appearances.
However, despite his decent form, he is at an age when his resale value will begin to dip very soon, and with a number of younger, equally talented wingers on the market, City could well be tempted into selling up.
Leroy Sane’s future may also have a role to play in whether Mahrez is allowed to leave. The German will have just twelve months to run on his contract in the summer and if the player refuses to sign a new deal, he could well be offloaded.
The Citizens would probably not sell two wingers in the same transfer window so it may be the case that one or the other departs.
