‘I Would Try And Tie Him Up Now’ ‘We Better Pay For Him Or We All Riot’ Fans Call On City To Go All Out For 112 Goal Forward

‘I Would Try And Tie Him Up Now’ ‘We Better Pay For Him Or We All Riot’ Fans Call On City To Go All Out For 112 Goal Forward

After losing out on Harry Kane and opting against making a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester City are likely to end the transfer window without signing a new striker.

Fans on Twitter think Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland should now be the main target for the Premier League champions, and while most believe a bid will be made for the Norwegian international next summer, some are calling for the forward to be signed now:

Haaland would be the standout candidate among the available strikers on the market. At just 21 years of age, he has already scored 112 goals in his senior career.

Considering the Norwegian will be available for €75m (£64m) next year too, it makes him an even more attractive target. Competition for his signature will be fierce but, with Chelsea having signed Romelu Lukaku and Manchester United recruiting Ronaldo, City will have a much stronger chance of landing Haaland than they would have done before.
