‘I’d Love Him At City’ ‘He’s Old Already’ Fans Respond As Gundogan Says He Can ‘Imagine’ Mexican Ace Playing For City

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan says he is a big fan of Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican international has been in excellent form this season and speaking about the forward, Gundogan believes he has all the attributes to play for the Citizens:

“I think he has everything a world-class striker needs. For a striker, he is so mobile, but also physically so good and talented technically on the ball. I can imagine him playing with us.”

Supporters on Twitter are not so sure Jimenez would be a good signing for City:

The forward has had an outstanding campaign, having scored 22 goals and provided ten assists in 44 appearances for Wolves, and he would definitely have an impact if he moved to the Etihad Stadium.

However, even though Jimenez is certainly a top drawer player, having also attracted the interest of Manchester United, he is very close to turning 29, with his birthday at the start of next month.

He could maybe do a job coming off the bench, but with Sergio Aguero still at the top of his game, and Gabriel Jesus in line to be his successor, the Mexican would certainly not be a regular starter under manager Pep Guardiola.
