Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick as the Citizens clinched a 3-1 home win against Watford on Saturday.
The 24-year-old has now bagged 15 goals in 27 Premier League appearances this season; just three behind leading scorer Sergio Aguero.
City fans on Twitter are backing Sterling for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award:

Sterling certainly deserves to be in contention for the award on current form. In addition to his 15 goals, he has also laid on 11 assists for his teammates.
If you compare that to other contenders like Tottenham’s Harry Kane, who has scored 17 and provided four assists, and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard (13 goal and 11 assists), the England international is leading the pack.
Much may depend on whether the players consider voting for a defender instead. Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk has been widely praised for his performances this season.
The Reds have conceded just 17 goals in 30 league games this campaign with many crediting the Dutchman as the pivotal figure in the Reds’ title challenge.
