Aston Villa assistant coach John Terry is predicting that Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season.

The Citizens are currently top ahead of Manchester United in second, with Liverpool four points behind them going into this evening’s fixtures, but Terry says that, from the beginning of the season, he felt Pep Guardiola’s side were the favourites:

“I’ve said Man City from the start. We [Aston Villa] played against them recently, and they are the kind of team that, no matter how you play, if they are on it, they can beat anyone in the league. I think they are the best team, they have the best individuals, and when they are at it they are by far the best team.”

The former Chelsea captain seems convinced that City will keep up their run of good form. Guardiola, himself, says he his focused on one game at a time but their recent run of victories have made them strong favourites to finish top of the table.

They are odds-on with all the bookmakers currently, with Betfred pricing them at 2/7. Liverpool remain second in the running, despite their recent poor form. The two sides meet on Sunday, with the result likely to be very important in deciding where the title goes this season.
