Journalist Claims Manchester City Star Is ‘Tempted’ To Play For Chelsea For One Key Reason

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is “tempted” to stay in England so he can break Premier League goalscoring records, according to the Evening Standard‘s James Robson.

The journalist reports that Aguero is seriously contemplating a move to Chelsea, with the Blues the only team in the Premier League prepared to pay him in excess of £250,000 a week:

A switch to Manchester United has already been ruled out by both the player and Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so, if he remains in England, Chelsea will be his destination.

However, the 32-year-old has not ruled out a move abroad. There is interest from the likes of Juventus, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid and he could well consider a new challenge.

At the moment, though, it seems the desire to overtake the likes of Andy Cole and Wayne Rooney in the all-time scorers’ list may see Aguero make the switch to one of City’s rivals.
