Journalist Reveals Chelsea Boss Has “Held Positive Talks” With 45M Rated City Star About Summer Switch

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has “held positive talks” with Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling, according to Nathan Gissing.

The journalist, who is a staff writer for Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, claims that the Blues are growing in confidence that they can sign the England international who is their “number one target”:

It’s rare to hear of a manager directly contacting another club’s player, so we shall see if Gissing’s claims are backed up by other, higher-profile, reporters.

Sterling is believed to be still mulling over whether he wants to leave the Etihad Stadium but he is not expected to take too long on making his final decision.  The 27-year-old is said to be keen on having his situation resolved by the start of preseason.

With that being the case, we may not have to wait too long before we know where his future lies. City are thought to be holding out for around £45m if Sterling does ask to leave the Premier League champions.
