Manchester City did table an “offer” for Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell, according to the Evening Standard reporter Nizaar Kinsella.
The teenager was linked with a switch to the Etihad a couple of months ago but Kinsella says the forward has opted to join Tottenham instead:
Soonsup-Bell has completed his medical, the deal will likely be announced tomorrow, he first arrived for talks at Tottenham on Wednesday. https://t.co/QAmMsJrOto

With the likes of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez already at the club, it’s hardly surprising that Soonsup-Bell felt that he wouldn’t get many first-team opportunities at the Citizens.
Both Haaland and Alvarez are 22 years of age and they are likely to be part of City’s first-team squad for the next decade or so.
Soonsup-Bell was reportedly unhappy about his lack of first-team prospects at Chelsea, who don’t have the type of strikers that the Premier League champions have at their disposal, so you understand the teenager’s decision to look at other destinations.
Pep Guardiola’s side are, though, still in the market for young players. They recruited Maximo Perrone from Velez Sarsfield earlier this month, while they have been keeping tabs on Genk’s Bilal El Khannouss.
