‘Just Sell ASAP’ ‘Anything Less Than 60M, We’ve Been Robbed’ City Fans React To Latest Romano Transfer Update

Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva wants to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, with Atletico Madrid the favourites to sign him, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reports that the La Liga champions may only be able to afford the Portuguese international if they sell Saul Niguez, and fans on Twitter are hoping City hold out for a decent fee:

Niguez is reportedly interesting Manchester United and Liverpool so Atletico may be able to raise the funds necessary for Silva. There has even been a suggestion that the Spanish club could offer their player in exchange but it is believed that City would prefer a straight cash offer.

If Atletico are unable to find the money needed, there aren’t many other places that Silva could go. Arsenal have been linked in recent days, while Bayern Munich have also been suggested as a possible destination. It’s unlikely that either club would be able to meet the player’s asking price though.
