‘Koulibaly Is Much Better’ ‘Average, No Thanks’ Fans On Twitter React To Claims That City Could Bid £54m For Serie A Stopper

Manchester City could make a move for Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar if their Champion League ban is lifted, according to reports in Italy

A decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is expected tomorrow morning, but if the Citizens are eligible for European competitions, they are believed to be prepared to shell out €60m (£54m) on Skriniar.

Fans on Twitter are not so sure the Slovakian international would be the answer to the club’s problems at the back:

Skriniar, who has also been linked with Manchester United in recent days, has struggled for form since the restart but he is a promising defender.

At 25 years of age, he has played 261 senior games as well as being capped 31 times by Slovakia. Considering City’s defensive woes this season, though, supporters want someone who has been tried and tested at the highest level and they are not convinced that Skriniar is the best solution available.
