Kyle Walker insists he’ll pay for fan’s wild tattoo after bold Twitter promise

Kyle Walker says he will pay for a fan to get a tattoo of John Stones after they claimed they would have the City defender inked on their skin should he score for England yesterday afternoon.

Twitter user Jess promised prior to England’s 6-1 victory yesterday that she would have Stones tattooed on her should she find himself on the scoresheet against Panama.

And unfortunately for her, Stones did just that – finding the net not once, but twice (does that mean she gets two tattoos?) as Gareth Southgate’s side recorded their biggest ever World Cup win.

Even even more unfortunately for poor Jess, the tweet was caught by both Stones himself and England and Manchester City team-mate Kyle Walker, who promised who would pay for the ink.

Following the match Stones sent a video message via the official England account on Twitter where he acknowledged her tweet and said: “Unlucky Jess, but thanks for your support.”

Walker then chimed in with a simple “I’ll pay” via his official Twitter account.

Jess’ tweet has since been deleted. Come on. Fair is fair, Jess.
