Latest Manchester City Injury Report For The Week: Four Players Remain Out Of Contention

Manchester City have four players out injured ahead of the double header against Southampton this week, but the good news is there are no new fitness concerns for manager Pep Guardiola to worry about.

It was confirmed last week that Oleksandr Zinchenko had knee surgery, and he will be out for between five and six weeks.  Rodri, meanwhile, is expected to be out for just under a month with a hamstring problem.

The Spaniard picked up the injury in the 5-1 win against Atalanta in the Champions League last week, but he won’t be available again until the home game versus Chelsea on the 23rd November following the international break.

City have two other players that remain out for the long term. Leroy Sane is still recovering from an ACL injury he picked up in the Community Shield win over Liverpool in August. He is slated to return in February next year.

Aymeric Laporte will also be sidelined for a similar length of time with the Frenchman undergoing rehab after having knee surgery.
