Latest Manchester City Injury Report For The Week: Updates On De Bruyne And Three Other Players

Manchester City have confirmed that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will miss the match against Dinamo Zagreb this evening with a groin injury.

The Belgian international did not take part in training yesterday ahead of the Champions League group stage match, and the Citizens confirmed this afternoon that he had been ruled out.

De Bruyne sustained the injury against Everton, and the club have said that the length of his absence has yet to be determined by the club’s medical team.

City’s other injuries are more long term. John Stones is the closest to making his comeback, with the defender estimated to be back after the international break following a muscular injury.

The defender was estimated to be out for four to five weeks back in mid-September so City’s game against Crystal Palace on 19th October could be a possible return date.

Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane both have serious knee injuries, and neither is expected to be back in full training until February.
