Latest Manchester City Injury Report: Guardiola Provides Updates On Aguero, Zinchenko And Garcia

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero could be back in the squad for tomorrow’s game against West Brom.

The Argentinian international was not available for the 0-0 draw versus Manchester United on Saturday due to gastroenteritis but Guardiola says he is now back training with the first-team:

“He trained today, he couldn’t train for last two or three days. We’ll decide tomorrow.”

Aguero had only just recovered from a knee problem but, despite marking his comeback with a goal against Marseille last week, illness appears to have disrupted his return to action. Hopefully, he is now finally 100% fit.

City will also be without Eric Garcia for the clash against the Baggies, with Guardiola estimating that the Spaniard could be out for up to three weeks with an unspecified injury.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has also sustained a knock and won’t be in the matchday squad tomorrow evening. The Ukrainian’s last game for the Citizens was against Porto in the Champions League at the start of the month.
