Latest Manchester City Injury Report: Key City Star Now Confirmed To Miss Derby

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero will miss the next few weeks due to a groin injury he picked up against Chelsea at the weekend.

The Argentine limped off and was replaced by Gabriel Jesus after 77 minutes in the 2-1 win on Saturday, and he is now expected to miss the Manchester derby, as well as games against Newcastle and Burnley.

Aguero was not the only player who picked up an injury against Chelsea but there is much better news on both David Silva and Rodrigo. The pair were taken off due to cramp, rather than anything more serious, and should be in contention to play Shakhtar Donetsk tomorrow night.

Oleksandr Zinchenko remains unavailable after undergoing knee surgery, but the Ukrainian is expected to be back in action in the next couple of weeks and has an outside chance of playing against United.

Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte remain on schedule to return from knee injuries at the beginning of February.
