Latest Manchester City Injury Report: Updates On Laporte, Aguero And Mahrez

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Aymeric Laporte will not feature against Wolves on Monday night. The Frenchman has only had one session following his return to training after testing positive for COVID-19.

However, Riyad Mahrez will be in contention as, despite having picked up the virus, the Algerian international was back on the training pitch much earlier, returning at the start of the week.

Bernardo Silva remains a minor doubt for the trip to Molineux. The Portuguese midfielder picked up a thigh injury on international duty earlier this month and will undergo a late fitness test to determine whether he will make the journey down to the Midlands.

Sergio Aguero is not expected to return to action for at least another month. The Argentinian striker has not played since picking up a knee injury in June, and he is making a slower than expected recovery. Guardiola has said the 32-year-old has not completed a full training session yet despite being back on the grass.
