Latest Manchester City Injury Report: Updates On Stones, Laporte, Rodri, Gundogan And Zinchenko

Manchester City centre-backs John Stones and Aymeric Laporte have been ruled out of the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Stones has been struggling with a muscular problem that he picked up whilst playing for England earlier this month and he is expected to be sidelined for two more weeks.

It’s the same situation for Laporte. The Spaniard has a groin injury which he aggravated after starting the game against Leicester 11 days ago and he is likely to miss the matches versus Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

There is a lot less known about the knocks sustained by Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who were all absent from the matchday squad for the 6-1 win over Wycombe in the Carabao Cup.

Manager Pep Guardiola has revealed he does not know how many will recover in time for Saturday, and he has even questioned whether some will be available for the PSG clash next week.
