Leicester City V Manchester City: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City’s players did not let the furore surrounding the club’s European ban affect them in the routine 2-0 win over West Ham last night.

Although their primary focus will be on Real Madrid next week, they still have an important game against Leicester City this weekend. Brendan Rodgers’ side have drawn their last two matches against Chelsea and Wolves, and are now four points behind the Citizens in the table.

In terms of team news, City are sweating over the fitness of David Silva who injured his knee against the Hammers. Raheem Sterling (hamstring) is back in light training but won’t be back for the weekend.

Aymeric Laporte lasted just 64 minutes versus West Ham, but the Frenchman confirmed after the game that he was feeling “Ok.” It remains to be seen, though, whether he’ll be fit enough to start against the Foxes at the King Power on Saturday. Leroy Sane is still building up his fitness following a serious knee injury, but Oleksandr Zinchenko will be back from suspension after serving a one-match ban.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Leicester:

Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Zinchenko,  De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Aguero, Jesus

Leicester have four fitness concerns heading into the game. Wilfried Ndidi is a doubt due to a knee problem, while Daniel Amartey (ankle) and Nampalys Mendy (knee) have both been ruled out. Matthew James (Achilles) is back in training but is unlikely to feature. Hamza Choudhury is suspended after being sent off against Wolves.

Leicester’s Predicted XI:

Schmeichel, Ricardo, Soyuncu, Evans, Chilwell, Perez, Praet, Maddison, Tielemans, Barnes, Vardy

The bookies have made Manchester City the favourites with Coral pricing them at 3/4 odds-on. A draw is 16/5 with Bet 365 while a Leicester victory is 18/5 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Manchester City
