Leicester City V Manchester City – Team News And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester City will want to recover quickly from their shock home defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday. The loss against the Eagles means the are now four points behind league leaders Liverpool heading into the Boxing Day fixtures.

Still, with games coming thick and fast around the Christmas period, circumstances can change dramatically within a very short space of time. The Citizens will have to be wary of their opponents, though.

Since losing to City on penalties in the Carabao Cup last week, the Foxes have won away at Chelsea with Claude Puel likely to field a very different team to the one that lost last Tuesday.

City manager Pep Guardiola could, though, have David Silva back after recovering from a hamstring injury, but it’s touch and go whether he’ll be fit to start. Captain Vincent Kompany is on the comeback trail from a muscular injury.

The team missed Fernandinho’s presence against Palace due to a thigh problem, and Guardiola will be hoping to welcome the Brazilian back into the starting line up. Claudio Bravo (Achilles), Benjamin Mendy (knee) and Eliaquim Mangala (knee) remain out of action.

For Leicester, Daniel Amartey is out until the New Year with a broken ankle while Matty James is still building up his fitness after a long injury layoff.

The bookmakers make City odds-on to win with the Manchester club 2/5 at Bet365. A draw is 43/10 at Unibet, while a Leicester victory is best priced at 17/2 with BetVictor.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Leicester:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, Mahrez, Aguero, Sane

Leicester City’s Predicted XI:

Schmeichel, Ricardo, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell, Albrighton, Choudhury, Mendy, Ndidi, Maddison, Vardy

Predicted Scored – 3-0 To City
