‘Lifetime Contract!’ ‘Tie Him Down’ ‘Another Billion Quid’ Fans Urge City To Do Everything They Can To Keep Key Figure

Manchester City went top of the Premier League after their last-gasp win against Fulham yesterday afternoon.

Erling Haaland’s penalty meant the Citizens managed to secure the three points despite being down to ten men for the majority of the game. Even after Joao Cancelo’s red card, though, City always looked the more likely team to win and many supporters have put that down to Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and fans on Twitter have been urging the club to do everything possible to stop their manager from leaving next summer:

Guardiola seems to be loving life in Manchester so you wouldn’t be surprised if he does decide to put pen to paper on a new deal but it’s difficult to tell what his thought process is at the moment.

The 51-year-old has had unprecedented success since being appointed by City six and a half years ago but he may feel that the time has come to have a break. We shall see what he decides in the coming months.
