Manchester City may not get a better chance of winning at Anfield this weekend, with Liverpool having lost back to back home league games for the first time in nine years.
A victory would almost certainly end the Reds’ chances of winning the title so there is a huge motivation for the Citizens heading into Sunday’s match.
Manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Kevin De Bruyne (hamstring), Nathan Ake (muscular) and Sergio Aguero (fitness) are all still sidelined, but there are no other issues in the squad.
Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:
Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko, Silva, Rodri, Gundogan, Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has fitness doubts over Alisson (illness), Sadio Mane (muscular) and Fabinho. Diogo Jota (knee), Naby Keita (muscular), Virgil van Dijk (knee), Joel Matip (ankle) and Joe Gomez knee) are all unavailable.
Liverpool’s Predicted XI:
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Henderson, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Mane
The bookies have made City the slight favourites with Betfair pricing them at 23/20 for the win. A draw is 11/4 with Betfred while a Liverpool victory is 12/5 at William Hill.
Predicted Score – 1-1
