Manchester City are prepared to offer AC Milan winger Rafael Leao €12m a season (approximately £205,000 a week) to tempt him into moving to the Etihad, according to reports in Italy.
Chelsea are the team who have been most heavily linked with the Portuguese international, although Pep Guardiola‘s side have been mentioned as suitors previously. It appears that the Citizens are fully prepared to beat their Premier League rivals to the player’s signature and fans on Twitter are excited:

Our attacks from the wing are a bit lacking tbh, Leao will fit in perfectly

It remains to be seen whether these reports are accurate, but it would not be a surprise if City did make a formal approach for Leao.
After losing Raheem Sterling last summer, and Leroy Sane in 2020, the squad has lost a lot of pace on the wings, and Leao would be an ideal player to make up for those losses.
The 23-year-old has just eighteen months left on his contract at Milan and, if he doesn’t sign a new deal with the Rossoneri soon, City could well secure his services for a reasonable fee.
