Manchester City’s players and staff have been enjoying a laid back training session today ahead of their first league game of the season against West Ham.
During the session, Raheem Sterling shouts at one of his teammates to “dink” the ball so he can receive a pass. Manager Pep Guardiola doesn’t quite hear the word correctly:
"DINKY! DINKY!" ?

Whether “dinky” will catch on, we shall see, but fans on Twitter were certainly enjoying the camaraderie in the squad:

What a training session who wouldn't want to train under such a coach.

Guardiola’s combination of work ethic and enjoyment of the game make him a unique coach. Players love to work under him but they also learn a lot at the same time.
City’s success over the last couple of seasons, in particular, is a testament to the Spaniard’s ability to build a team spirit within the squad but to also coach players who still want to improve their performances no matter how many trophies they win.
