Manchester City V Arsenal: Team News And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has five injury concerns heading into the game against Arsenal at the Etihad this weekend.

Kevin De Bruyne withdrew from international duty as a precautionary measure but it is not known whether he will be fit to face the Gunners on Saturday. Raheem Sterling pulled out of the England squad before the start of the international break due to a tight hamstring so he also remains a doubt.

Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko are still recovering from muscular injuries so their participation is also in question. In slightly better news, though, Sergio Aguero is back in full training after recovering from a knee injury but he is not expected to start versus Arsenal.

The Gunners have a fair few injuries themselves. Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a minor ankle problem but it shouldn’t prevent him from featuring against City. Kieran Tierney won’t be available due to quarantine rules for COVID-19.  Gabriel Martinelli (knee), Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Pablo Mari (ankle) and Calum Chambers (knee) also remain on the sidelines.

The bookies have made City the favourites with Unibet pricing them at 21/50 for the win. A draw is 17/4 with Betway while an Arsenal victory is currently 13/2 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to City
