Manchester City V Aston Villa: Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero is still not available as he continues to self-isolate. The Argentinian international has missed the games against Birmingham, Brighton and Crystal Palace, and will again be absent for the clash against Aston Villa tomorrow night.

There was some better news on Aymeric Laporte, though, with Guardiola revealing the French defender is very close to making a comeback from a hamstring injury which has kept him out since Boxing Day. Nathan Ake is still a doubt for the Villa game due to a muscular problem.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Aston Villa:

Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden, Mahrez, Torres, Sterling

Villa last played a full-strength team on New Year’s Day in the defeat to Manchester United due to postponements following the virus outbreak in the first-team squad. Only two players should be missing tomorrow with Ross Barkley (hamstring) back in training. Wesley Moraes (knee) and Trezeguet (virus) are both ruled out.

Aston Villa’s Predicted XI:

Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Luiz, Grealish, McGinn, Traore, Watkins, El Ghazi

The bookies have made City the heavy favourites with William Hill pricing them at 2/7 for the win. A draw is 23/4 with Unibet while a Villa victory is 23/2 at the same bookmaker.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to City
