Manchester City will be overwhelming favourites when they face Brighton at Wembley tomorrow for a place in the FA Cup final.
The Citizens are on a roll at the moment, having won 12 games in a row, excluding the Carabao Cup triumph that went to a penalty shootout.
Brighton, on the other hand, are in very poor form with a home defeat against Southampton last weekend keeping them in relegation trouble.
City will likely be without Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Ukrainian had to be substituted in the 2-0 win over Cardiff on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. The problem is not believed to be serious but he is a major doubt for tomorrow’s game.
Fabian Delph remains out of contention with a knock he sustained during the international break so Danilo is likely to deputise at left-back with Benjamin Mendy seemingly out of favour following his recovery from a knee injury.
Sergio Aguero missed the win against Cardiff with a muscular problem and will likely be rested for the cup semi-final in order to be fit to face Tottenham in the Champions League next week. Claudio Bravo is still out with an Achilles injury.
Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Brighton:
Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Danilo, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling
Brighton manager Chris Hughton has three injury issues heading into tomorrow’s game. Solly March and Jurgen Locadia will both face late fitness tests on calf problems, but Pascal Gross will miss out due to a hamstring injury.
Brighton’s Predicted XI:
Ryan, Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo, Propper, Stephens, Bissouma, Knockaert, Murray, Jahanbakhsh
The bookmakers are heavily favouring City to make the final. They are 1/7 odds-on at Betfred with a draw after 90 minutes at 9/1 with Bet365. A shock win for Brighton is 30/1 at Betfair.
Predicted Score – 3-0 to City
