Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola would have been pleased by the manner of the performance against Watford on Tuesday despite making a number of changes.

They had to hold on a bit when the Hornets scored late on in the game, but they were in full control for the most part. The Citizens will certainly not rotate their squad when they face Chelsea on Saturday evening.

Oleksandr Zinchenko didn’t feature against Watford due to a broken nose, but he is back in training using a protective mask so could return in place of Fabian Delph against the Blues.

Sergio Aguero remains a doubt due to a groin injury, while Vincent Kompany had to be substituted in the 2-1 win at Vicarage Road due to cramp, but he should be fine for the weekend. Kevin De Bruyne is unlikely to feature as he recovers from a knee problem.

For Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri only has one slight injury concern. Ross Barkley picked up a knock in the Europa League win over PAOK last week but could return to the squad on Saturday.

The likes of David Luiz, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho were rested for the defeat against Wolves last night, but are likely to be back in the starting line up at Stamford Bridge.

At the bookmakers, City are the slight favourites with most, including Ladbrokes, having them at 10/11 odds-on. A draw is 29/10 at Unibet while a Chelsea win is 16/5 at various bookmakers.
