Manchester City V Crystal Palace: Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester City were back to their very best against Aston Villa on Sunday. The 6-1 win shows without doubt that manager Pep Guardiola is still working his magic on the squad.

The Citizens do face Crystal Palace on Saturday who they lost to in the corresponding fixture last season. Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is, though, having some big issues with injuries at the moment.

City are pretty injury-free themselves with only Leroy Sane yet to return from a long-term knee injury. Aymeric Laporte is in training but Guardiola is waiting for the go-ahead of his medical staff before giving him any match action.

Manchester City’s Predicted XI To Face Palace:

Ederson, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Mendy, De Bruyne, Rodri, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Aguero, Sterling

In contrast, Palace have six players currently on the treatment table. Andros Townsend (groin), Joel Ward (knee), Mamadou Sakho (hamstring), Jeffrey Schlupp (groin), Patrick van Aanholt (thigh) and Max Meyer (ankle) are all out of contention.  Christian Benteke could be back available after a muscular injury, but Luka Milivojevic is suspended.

Crystal Palace’s Predicted XI:

Guaita, Kelly, Tomkins, Cahill, Riedewald, Ayew, McCarthy, McArthur, Kouyate, Zaha, Tosun

The bookmakers have City as red hot favourites with Ladbrokes pricing them at 1/10 to get the win. A draw is 21/2 with Unibet while a Palace victory is currently 28/1 at BetVictor.

Predicted Score – 4-0 to City
